Soft Silence Spa

Deep tissue massage in Bandlaguda Jagir, Hyderabad

Slower, firmer, focused work on the areas that stay stiff, for people who find a relaxation massage too light to make a difference.

What deep tissue massage is

Deep tissue massage uses slow strokes and sustained, firmer pressure to reach the deeper layers of muscle. Your therapist spends longer on fewer areas, usually the upper back, shoulders, neck, lower back or legs, rather than moving evenly over the whole body.

Firm does not mean painful. Some areas can feel intense while they are being worked on, but you set the limit, and a good deep tissue session is one you can breathe through comfortably.

Who it suits

People with persistent stiffness from desk work, long drives, lifting or regular exercise, and people who have had a full body relaxation massage before and want something more focused. If you are unsure which to choose, our guide to deep tissue versus relaxation massage explains the difference.

How the session works

Tell us where you feel it most and anything that is sore to the touch. Your therapist starts with lighter work to warm the area, then builds pressure gradually and checks in with you as they go. You are draped throughout and can ask for less pressure or a pause at any time.

It is normal to feel a little tender for a day afterwards. Drinking water and keeping gently active usually helps; our aftercare guide has more.

Good to know. Deep tissue work is not suitable over recent injuries, fractures, blood clots or skin conditions, or during some stages of pregnancy. Tell us about any medical condition before you book; if in doubt, ask your doctor first.

Questions about deep tissue massage

Does deep tissue massage hurt?

It is firmer than a relaxation massage and some spots can feel intense, but it should never be painful. You set the pressure and can ask your therapist to ease off at any moment.

Will I be sore after a deep tissue massage?

Some people feel mild tenderness for a day, similar to after exercise. Drinking water, a warm shower and light movement usually help it pass.

Should I choose deep tissue or a full body massage?

Choose full body relaxation if you want to unwind; choose deep tissue if one or two areas stay stiff and lighter massage has not helped. We can advise when you call.
